Projects

This club has been involved in projects in the community since 1943. Some of those projects have been

 

  • "Lite-A-Lite" Program now going now if you would like to name someone to honor or name them in memory; you can participate in this Luminary Event. Check your local newspaper listings or email us at info@pilotclubofkannapolis.org

 

                   This year Lite-A-Lite is the first Saturday in 

December 3, 2011

  • Since 1976 this tradition has been going on.

  • Last year do the the drought conditions candles were not allowed to be lit. So we innovatively design the bags with mini lights placed in and around them in the Park.

  • Bandages for the Soldiers in WWII

  • Safety town

  • Fire Safety in Homes

  • Block Parents to keep children safe and have a haven after school

  • Provide handicapped equipment according to needs required of the community

  • Aquatic Equipment for the YMCA

  • Provided the YMCA with a Rescue Manikin to teach CPR

  • Anchor Programs in Two High Schools

  • New Teacher Assist Bag program

  • CVAN (battered women and children)

  • Hospice

  • Alzheimer's Disease Patients

  • School Support for the needy with school supplies

  • Kamp Brain Train in cooperation with the Kannapolis City Recreation Department and local EMT's, Fire, Police and Red Cross the Pilot Club of Kannapolis have conducted Safety Programs for Children. To Play safe and Keep Safe in many areas where Children usually get hurt.  Have you attended  with your child. Don't forget to register with the City Recreation Department.
