Motto: "True
Course Ever "
As a Pilot, you may not fly an airplane…
BUT…
-
YOU WILL take off in a new
and exciting direction
-
YOU WILL
develop new and interesting
friendships
-
YOU WILL
network with other community leaders
-
YOU WILL
improve your leadership skills
-
YOU WILL
be lending your support to worthwhile causes
-
BUT…MOST OF ALL
YOU WILL know that you have made a
difference!
Named
for the intrepid river boat pilots,
PILOT chose its
name to represent guidance and leadership
Pilot International, which is a global organization whose mission is to improve the quality
of life in local communities throughout the world and the
Pilot Club of Kannapolis
is part that mission on a local level. Chartered on February 15,1943 it
continues to take part in community events which help the needy and
disadvantaged.
Although the
international organization emphasizes service to people with
brain-related disorders and disabilities, it encourages each local club
to develop and implement projects through which it can best serve its
own community.

The Foundation offers grants and scholarships, and
it works in partnership with other organizations including two, which
promote brain awareness:
The Dana Alliance for Brain
Initiatives is
an independent
non-profit organization of more than 175 pre-eminent neuro-scientist
including 6 Nobel Laureates. Founded in 1993, this organization is
committed solely to advancing education about the personal and public
benefits of brain research.
